I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in 3rd grade. I had a very special 3rd grade teacher, and a special 5th grade teacher that supported me in my weaknesses in math. I was always a hard-working student and excelled in reading and writing. Math was something that I never felt successful at, and it wasn't until high school and even college, that a few amazing teachers truly supported me and made me feel comfortable to really dive into growing my math skills. There is one teacher in particular that I am still in touch with today and being able to tell her how much she helped me and flourished my choice of becoming an educator is truly amazing to me. I chose to teach because I love building relationships and helping a child grow into who they want to become. I have supported many kinds of learners in my 12 years of education, and I look forward to supporting even more in the future!
