Preschool Handbook

Thank you for choosing San Tan Montessori Private Preschool as the beginning school community for your child. The items contained within this handbook are the essential policies and procedures that will help us provide a safe, ordered, and conducive educational environment for your child’s intellectual, social, and physical development.

Our Montessori Preschool Program includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Music activities meant to offer wide-ranging lessons that inspire a love and excitement for learning and encourage independent exploration.

STCS Family Handbook

High School Course Catalog – 2018 – 2019

Our High School Course Catalog includes the current core courses and electives offered at our Power campus High School.

Gifted Program Policy

The goal of this program is to provide students who have advanced intellectual, academic, and/or creative thinking skills the opportunity to dynamically interact with teachers who specialize in gifted education as well as peers of similar aptitude within a rigorous, interdisciplinary learning environment in order to reach their highest levels of learning and accomplishment. Our Self-Contained Gifted Program is a full-day 1st – 6th grade program designed for qualifying students.

Gifted Testing – Parent Recommendation Form

Download the Parent Recommendation for Gifted Testing form to begin the Giftedness Identification Process.  Complete and submit to either the Recker or Power campus office. Gifted testing costs $50.00.

Special Education Policies

A free appropriate public education (FAPE) will be available to all children of San Tan Charter School, including children with disabilities who have been suspended or expelled from school as provided for in §300.530(d) of the IDEA regulations.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Federal law concerning the education of students with disabilities, requires schools to provide parents of a child with a disability with a notice containing a full explanation of the procedural safeguards available under the IDEA and U.S. Department of Education regulations.

Homelessness Policy

Homelessness exists in our community. San Tan Charter School will ensure that all children and youth receive a free appropriate public education and are given meaningful opportunities to succeed in our schools.
