Happy Wet Wednesday Roadrunners,
Thank you for the gift of time that you have provided me so I can work with our administrative team to provide direction during the upcoming days and weeks. As a reminder, information continues to change daily and sometimes hourly. Please know that I am getting two updates daily from State agencies.
Starting next week our administrators and teachers will be working together to transition our on-campus instructional program to home-based instruction. This approach could include many modalities of instruction. In addition, you can expect campus level updates from school level administrators and classroom updates from your kiddo’s teacher. Any Federal or State updates will come directly from my office.

To recap my email from earlier this week. San Tan Charter School campuses will be closed to all students effective Thursday, March 19. The closure will remain in effect through Thursday, April 9th. While many schools are closing indefinitely, I felt it important to provide a clear outline for our community. If the State of Arizona gives schools a different directive, we will follow such direction. Essential operations such as the office and campus cleaning will continue to be operational at all times.
Below is an outline for the remainder of the year:
- Charter School closed for all educational services, March 19th – April 9th.
- Online Instruction for all Charter School students; no on campus instruction, April 14th – May 1st.
- Charter School IN SCHOOL Instruction, May 4th – May 22nd.
Please continue to give our Business office grace as they work on processing hundreds of refund checks and/or tuition credits, they are working extremely hard right now. You will see additional emails from the business office as this progresses.
Finally, thank you for just being you. When Rita, the Sippel kids, and I were sitting around the table for dinner last night we were all just amazed at how supportive everyone in our community has been to one another. It is times like this when you truly see the love a school has for their community.
Educationally Yours,
Kristofer Sippel
