Hello Power Campus!
Welcome to picture day! The kids looked great on campus. If you were not able to order your photos beforehand, you can visit www.dorianstudio.com and type in “San Tan Power” for Power Campus students or “San Tan Recker” for Recker students and families will have access to order online.
There is no late order charge for families if you order within 4 days after picture day.
There is big news on campus. Our first home football game of the season is this Friday and it will be a Roadrunners “White Out”. Fans in attendance wearing white will receiving discounted entry and at halftime we will introduce both the Recker and Power Campus Student Council. Friday we will also unveil an original STCS Fight Song and the culinary department will be on hand cooking “street tacos” for the event. Gates open at 6:00pm!
A congratulations is in order to STCS senior Bailey Tischer who was awarded an “Innovator of the Year Award” for last year’s science Fair project. Bailey has been invited to the Governors 2021 Celebration of Innovation event in October and only four (4) teenagers in ALL of Arizona received this honor. This recognition for Baily is the result of years of dedication and focus on academic rigor and study.
Speaking of academic rigor, thank you to the parents and students who signed up to receive extra help in the areas of Math and Reading through our academic recovery plan. Read the below article from Raising Arizona Kids to see what San Tan Charter has done to address academic recovery. I personally want to thank our math and English teachers as well as our superintendent, Dr. Sippel, for all of their investment in making sure our students are grade-level ready.

Athletics Family Pass
All High School games have a gate fee of $5 per adult and $3 per student/child. For the convenience of our families, we will be offering Athletic Family Passes for the immediate and non-immediate families of our San Tan Athletes. The options include $50 per season or $100 for the year. Tickets may be purchased for immediate family members (i.e., parents/guardians and siblings under 18). All other non-immediate family members (i.e., grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc.) are also welcome to purchase a family pass for entrance into the games. Technology
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops at the Power Campus. Each student needs a laptop to access school testing, classroom curriculum and more. Parents have the option of leasing technology from the school or supplying your own technology from a list of approved devices is on the Parent Portal page. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease fee for the school’s technology and a $50 annual fee for registering your family’s personal device.

DonorsChoose helps teachers fundraise for special projects in their classrooms. Last week was a big week on campus with Ms. Kovach’s class getting fully funded. Please think about donating to our teacher’s rooms, if you haven’t already.

P.E. School Uniforms:
Extra PE uniforms have reached campus. Please make sure your student has received their full order. If you are interested in ordering more, the cost of the uniform set is $18. Remember you have the option to pay online via this link: https://yqysjrrxph.formstack.com/forms/power_p_e_uniforms.
Uniforms can also be purchased through the front office, via exact cash, or with credit cards or checks made payable to STCS.
