Hello Power Campus!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. We are thankful for so many things here at San Tan Charter, most notably our kids and the wonderful programs and people that make us the school of choice. Just today we received news that we have earned over $600,000 in academic scholarship money for our senior class, which is over $300,000 more than what we had earned last week!
As academics are on the top of our mind, when we return after the break we will be conducting our MAP Testing. This year as we have addressed the learning loss that occurred during the pandemic, and our teachers and students have partnered in the classroom and in tutoring. Over the next two weeks the kids will be showing us what they’ve learned, and we are excited to see how we have progressed.
Heading into Thanksgiving break, tomorrow is our annual Charlie Brown Thanksgiving event. Thank you for the incredible generosity you have shown us in food donations to our culinary team. Please join us tomorrow for our feast starting at 10am. Families are welcome to come and celebrate with us in the courtyard and student union for a nice meal before heading into the long weekend, prepared by Mr. Ramos and our culinary department.
Winter Sports Photos
The new day for on-campus photos is Monday, November 29. Remember to fill out your sports photo applications and send your student-athletes ready for their winter pictures.
Senior Photos
On December 1, Dorian Studios will be on campus to take our senior pictures for the Yearbook. Please be on the lookout for an email from Ms. Tischer and pre-order your senior photos for this event by scheduling your photo at: https://pickatime.com/dorianstudio/client?evt=368338
Winter Football Combine
Calling all San Tan Youth and Junior High footballers – Join the professional ranks for a day on campus and participate in a football combine taught by a professional coaching staff! The CK Vikings Football program will be on campus Dec. 4 to help show your stuff. Athletics Family Pass
All High School games have a gate fee of $5 per adult and $3 per student/child. For your convenience, we will be offering Athletic Family Passes for the immediate and non-immediate families of our San Tan athletes. The options include $50 per season or $100 for the year. Tickets may be purchased for immediate family members (i.e., parents/guardians and siblings under 18). All other non-immediate family members (i.e., grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc.) are also welcome to purchase a family pass for entrance into the games. Technology
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops at the Power Campus. Each student needs a laptop to access school testing, classroom curriculum and more. Parents have the option of leasing technology from the school or supplying your own technology from a list of approved devices is on the Parent Portal page. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease fee for the school’s technology and a $50 annual fee for registering your family’s personal device.
