Hello Power Campus!
Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported our electives showcase last Saturday! It was an amazing show of support from our community and the fundraiser was fantastic to help grow our electives programs. Most importantly, the students WERE SPECTACULAR showing us all of their talents that may not always be highlighted in school. Thank you to the electives teachers who planned the event with the help of their students to make this happen for a second-straight year.
Thursday on campus we celebrate our volleyball seniors on Senior Night. We expect to receive a special guest back on campus, as Coach Revling plans to join us at school to support our students on this special evening. Varsity volleyball is currently ranked #8 in the state leading into the final week of regular-season competition and its regional tournament, and #5-ranked varsity football plays its final regular season game this Friday at Arete Prep at 7pm. Given the #5 ranking, we expect our first-ever AIA home playoff game on campus next Friday, Nov. 3.
Next on the academic agenda next week is our Halloween half-day schedule and cultural fair! Reminder there are no Halloween costumes allowed at San Tan Charter and that our humanities classes have been hard at work with the students in preparing for that day’s presentations of projects.
Cultural Fair
Cultural Fair is a collaboration of our social studies and language arts classes. This project-based learning opportunity is another opportunity for San Tan Charter students to “show us” what they’ve been learning. The high school fair will happen in the main building and the JH fair happens in the electives wing. Students should be nearly finished with their projects, so make sure your students are well prepared for this big event.

Everything related to school policy can be found in our student handbook. Please take the time to go over the handbook with your students. The handbook also includes our dress code policy.

Technology
School technology is limited to the use of Chromebooks. If your student is using a device that has not been approved, it may lead to invalidated work and our inability to protect your child from secured browsing. Please make sure that you have secured the proper device for our 1:1 technology policy on campus.
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops to access curriculum for many of the classes at the Power Campus. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease for a school device and a $50 annual fee for registering a personal device. If families choose to bring their own device, please be sure your Chromebook is compatible with the network by using the Approved Technology List and please be mindful that all student owned Chromebooks will need to be secured on our Google Enterprise for Education.
