Dear San Tan Families,

Today marks the official arrival of sweater weather, signaling that fall in Arizona is here at last. It’s also that exciting time of year when the Arizona Department of Education releases its school letter grades. I am thrilled to announce that San Tan Charter School has achieved the prestigious status of an A-rated school! An A rating reflects excellence: distinguished performance on statewide assessments, significant student growth, high four-year graduation rates, and a strong trajectory toward proficiency. Overall, our performance significantly exceeds the state average. These letter grades evaluate crucial quantitative metrics that are essential for student success in academics and career readiness, particularly in mastering math and language arts standards.

As we delve into this rating, some remarkable statistics emerge. Out of 602 schools across Arizona, The Recker Campus ranked 50th—an incredible achievement! In our geographic area, The Power Campus outperformed all other High Schools:

  • San Tan Charter High School – 97.28%
  • Benjamin Franklin High School – 97.07%
  • Eastmark High School – 94.60%
  • Highland High School – 92.07%
  • ALA Gilbert North High School – 91.69%
  • Higley/Williamsfield High School – 91.60%

At San Tan, we pride ourselves on being more than just a week of testing. We offer a diverse array of educational opportunities, including Mainstream, Gifted, and Montessori programs, all housed on one campus, allowing families to choose the best fit for their family. Our small school environment fosters a rich selection of elective classes, with daily PE, art, music at Recker, and over 30 electives available on our Power campus.

Our athletic program consistently excels, with last year’s Varsity Basketball team winning the State Championship, Jr. High Baseball recently taking the State title, Varsity Girls Volleyball ranking in the top 5 statewide, and our undefeated Varsity Football team currently holding the number one spot in the state. As Tony the Tiger would say, “They’re Grrrreat!”

As a parent of three students attending San Tan I want to thank all of our teachers, administrators, and staff for achieving these amazing milestones. It not easy being the Best Small School In The East Valley!
