Letter from the Principal

Dear San Tan Families,

I hope you are having a great week! We have a lot of very exciting events occurring in the next couple weeks. We need a lot of school volunteers the next coming weeks so thank you for those who are able to volunteer! We also have very exciting information about our Winter Music Concert!

– Mrs. Sarah Laramie

Important Announcements

Dismissal App

  • Please make sure that you are checking your student’s default dismissal. If you need your student to be dismissed another way, you can either change it in the app or we would be happy to do it for you. Please call the front office for help.
  • If your student is labeled as a “Walker”, they will be dismissed from their classroom to go out to drive lane at 3:00pm. If your student is defaulted as a Walker, there is no need to “announce” yourself.
  • If you are driving up or want your student at a time that is later than 3:00, please have your student labeled as “Carline”. If your student is defaulted or labeled as “Carline”, you will need to “announce” yourself when you get to campus. This will signal the classroom to release your student to drive lane. Please allow a couple minutes, especially if students are traveling from the Montessori village.
  • We have assistant teachers standing outside to help monitor students and help open car doors.
  • If you are struggling with the app or if you need any help, please give us a call. We are happy to help.

Winter Music Concert

The concert is Wednesday, December 15th. We will be holding the performance at Mission Church (4450 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234).

6:00 – 6:30 – Montessori K-6th
7:00 – 7:30 – 3rd – 6th grades

Cultural Fair Table Volunteers

November 12th, 2021 9:00-1:30

WE NEED YOU!

We are working on scheduling our Annual Culture Celebration coming up for November 12th. In years past, we have hosted parent volunteers who host a table to teach students about different cultures. We would love for families to host a table to share artifacts, foods, and stories that reflect your family’s culture.

Please sign up with your name and the country you wish to represent!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Dessert Donation

Occurring the day before Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is a tradition at San Tan Charter! Dr. and Mrs. Sippel began this tradition in the first Montessori Preschool class with bean soup. The tradition continues for families by bringing their own lunch and eating it picnic style outside as a community and brining desserts to share. The kids love this because this is the one-day sweets are allowed on campus! Please help us!  Peruse our list and bring your favorite treat.

A few reminders: No NUTS, desserts must be baked, defrosted and ready at morning drive lane. There will be volunteers available to collect your dessert at drive lane and walk it over to the cafeteria to be cut.

Golf Cart Request

The Power Campus needs a golf cart to help move equipment/water for home games & practice to the fields. We will also use this golf cart to help elderly fans make the long walk from the gates to the fields for games. We would like one that has seats in the back but can flip down so equipment and water can be carried. If you would like to donate one or would like to find out more information how you can help the athletic department obtain one, please reach out to our Athletic Director Shawn Lytle slytle@santancs.com
