Dear Families,

What a powerful week at San Tan Charter School! I walk around at events like the Multicultural Fair and feel so incredibly blessed for our families, students, teachers, and staff. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, energy, and heart into the multicultural fair. The event was a huge success and allowed our students to experience cultures from around the world. We have a variety of informational and family friendly events these next few weeks. Be sure to stay tuned to the Errington Edition and any mid-week announcements.

A reminder that our Middle School Information Night is on Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Power Campus Student Union 3232 S. Power Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Simonton, and myself will be providing a presentation of the choices you have for 7th and 8th grade. Information Night

Come learn about the choices you have for kindergarten at San Tan Charter School for the 2019-2020 School Year.
(Montessori, Mainstream, Full Day, Half Day)

We cordially invite you to take a journey through the day of a kindergarten student, learning about the strengths of the Mainstream and Montessori experiences. We hope this informational session will provide you the details you will need to make an informed decision for your child. After our presentation, we will take you on classroom tours to answer any individual questions about each experience. Please sign up below.

Math League Contest – Elementary

We are forming our Elementary Math League team for the last round to qualify for the district tournament in March! Attached is the permission slip if your student is interested in participating and representing San Tan at our next Math League Competition!

When: Monday, February 4th
Where: Gilbert Classical Academy 1016 N. Burk St., Gilbert, AZ
Time: 12:45 PM to 5:30 PM
Who: 3rd grade through 6th grade students are welcome to attend
Fee: $30
Due: 1/28/2019

This event is a fun event where the students compete on an array of different math activities; some activities involve an individual round, a sprint round, a team round, relay round, and much much more. It was a lot of fun!

 

Science Fair/STEM Fest

San Tan’s annual Science Fair and STEMFest is right around the corner! Join us for a scientifically fun day as we welcome the Arizona Science Center, Gilbert Recycling, and our amazing teacher’s STEMulating hands on learning activities!

Our students will be presenting their Science Fair Projects and STEM competitions include an Eggy Balloon, Heavy Crane, News Paper Table, and Coldest Lunch Box challenges!

When: Feb 2nd
Time: 10am to 1:30pm
Where: San Tan Power Campus
Award Ceremony: 1:00pm (Main Gym)

Science Fair Judges Needed!!
San Tan’s Annual Science Fair needs your help!
We are in need of volunteers to assist us in judging science fair projects! Judges will assess the student projects while the students present them. It is a
thrilling adventure to participate in the learning of our remarkable young scientists.

When? Judging – Saturday, February 2nd from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM
Where? San Tan Power Campus ~ Gym

We would like to formally invite you to attend the Golden Globes as the Montessori fundraiser for this year:

As part of the awards ceremony we are looking for performers within our Montessori community (is this your child? If so contact me!)

We also need parent volunteers for the art projects which will begin next week- if you want to help let your teachers know!

Spring Fling Half-Day Conference Camps

Your San Tan Charter School – Recker Campus EST Team (Electives & Specials Team) are excited to announce another great K-7th Grade, Half-day Conference Camp for our March 6th, 7th, & 8th half-days. Our camp includes great activities in PE, Music, and STREAMS. To register, sign-up on our Sign-up Genius, then fill out the attached registration form (forms can also be picked up at the front office) and drop it off at our front office with the camp fee (camp fees are non-refundable). The camp runs from 11:45 to 4:00 PM. Please remember to have your campers bring a sack lunch and an afternoon snack; along with a water bottle.
