10/3-10/5 Half Day Camps

Are the kids looking for something fun to do on the half days, 10/3-5?   If so, we have just the opportunity for you.

Paper Drive

Only 8 more days for our Our Annual Paper Drive.  We are nowhere near our goal for paper this year.  Because of this great drive San Tan has never had to spend funds to buy paper thanks to all of our families!  The class winner will receive lunch from My Hot Lunch for the entire class AND the teacher will receive $200 for classroom supplies.  The front office is keeping track of reams of paper brought in for each teacher, point values are assigned below:

White Ream of Paper =3
Colored Paper = 2
Colored Cardstock = 1

You guessed it, Our 4th annual EF Tours trip will be whisking us off to Berlin, Prague, Krakow, and Budapest in June 2019!  Our tours tend to fill up quickly, so make sure to register to reserve your spot today.  We do only have 32 traveling seats available as of right now.  If you are intrigued, here are some of the frequently asked questions commonly received along with how to register.

Guest Teachers Needed!

FREE Insurance and Financial Planning Class

Hey Parents! Join Pam Johnson on Wednesday, October 17th at 6:00pm to do an overview on insurance and financial planning at the Power Student Union!

You do not have to be a current client to attend, and it is FREE for all attendees. She will answer all of your insurance and financial planning questions. Come and learn how much coverage you should actually have, and how to protect yourself from future accidents!

Mathleague Mathematics Competition

San Tan, for the first time ever, will offer students the opportunity to participate in Mathleague Mathematics competition at the Maricopa Institute of Technology.  The competition will take place on two separate dates.  Middle school will be Tuesday, October 16th, 2018.  High school will be Wednesday, October 17th.

The testing session will begin at 1 pm and end with awards ceremony at 4:30.

San Tan will provide transportation for both days.  Students will leave campus at 12 p.m. and return at 6 p.m.  Please email Mrs. Walker at  kwalker@santancs.com for questions.

Permission slips were sent home Wednesday 9/19/18 and are due no later than October 5, 2018. (I have also included a link to the permission slip.) Thank you, we are excited to offer this opportunity to our mathematicians!!

Chipotle Fun Night!
San Tan’s Chipotle Night will be Wednesday, September 26th from 4-8 pm at the Power and Ray location.  Go in and tell Chipotle that you are with San Tan fundraiser event and enjoy dinner cooked for you!  San Tan will get a portion of all meals sold if you tell them you are with San Tan.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Support Our Troops ~ Care Packages for Heroes!
October 1-5
~ Donations accepted during Homecoming week, donation boxes will be available at the entrance gates and in the front office.
~ Our school has partnered with Boots in the House to deliver care packages to American soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, on Naval Ships and much much more! Every item makes a difference to our soldiers so far from home.
~ Free admission to one San Tan Sports event per donation during Homecoming week. Donations will be accepted at the gates.

Homecoming Dance
San Tan Power Campus will be hosting it’s first Homecoming Dance here on campus!  Don’t miss out!

October 6th

Jr. High Dance  6-7:30PM  Cost:  $7 prepay //  $10 at the door
High School Dance 8-11PM  Cost:  $12 prepay //  $15 at the door

Guests from other schools are welcome, but students must have a permission slip signed and returned to the office by Wednesday 10/3.  Permission slips are available in the front office.

Parent Teacher Conferences
As our first quarter comes to an end, conferences are quickly approaching.

Please click on the sign up link below to sign up for the core teachers you
would like to meet with.  Conferences are in 10 minute time increments and
you have time within 40 minutes to meet with each core teacher.  If you
would like a meeting with an elective teacher, please email the teacher to set
up the date and time.  We highly encourage your student to attend conferences
with you!! Thank you and we will see you soon!
