My Bio
My name is Todd Peat, and I’m the Defensive Coordinator for the varsity football team and a Social Studies teacher here at San Tan Charter High School. I first joined STCS in 2023 as a football coach and officially came on board as a full-time teacher in 2025.
I was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe, where I played football, basketball, and earned multiple honors including First Team All-Arizona and selection as a U.S. Army All-American. I was fortunate to continue my football career at the collegiate level, playing at the University of Nebraska, Eastern Arizona College, and Texas A&M University-Commerce, where I served as a team captain and earned First Team All-Conference recognition, but more importantly gained valuable experience and relationships along the way.
After college, I played professionally in the Indoor Football League with the Nebraska Danger and Arizona Rattlers. I began coaching in 2015 and have worked at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels—including a role on the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship coaching staff at Texas A&M-Commerce where I completed my degree in 2017. I also founded the Arizona Saints Foundation, a youth sports organization that has helped more than 20 athletes earn college scholarships.
As a coach, my goal is to help shape young athletes into leaders—on and off the field—by building a culture centered on accountability, effort, and teamwork. As a teacher, I strive to make Social Studies relevant and engaging by connecting history and current events to the world around us.
I’m excited to continue serving our students and athletes in the 2025–2026 school year and look forward to helping them reach their highest potential.
