My Bio

Hello! My name is Sophie Langworthy and I am thrilled to be teaching Primary Montessori here at San Tan Montessori School. I have been teaching for 7 years, 5 of which have been spent in Montessori education. Most recently, I worked as a primary teacher in Nashville, TN helping children ages 3-6 develop early literacy and numeracy skills to prepare them for kindergarten and 1st grade.

I grew up in Minnesota and attended college in San Diego, CA. In 2018, I completed my MACTE infant/toddler training, and in July 2023 I earned my Primary teaching certification through NAMC. I recently moved out here to be closer to family, and for the sunshine!

I love teaching and I am passionate about Montessori philosophy. My goal is to make learning engaging and fun. I am a big believer in following the child, and I love connecting with my students individually to understand how they learn best.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy running and playing beach volleyball. My husband and I are also training for a HYROX event happening in the spring! I am excited to meet and get to know my new students and their families. I’m confident that we will have an amazing and successful year!
