My Bio

A little about me…

I was born in Utah, then when I was very young my family moved to Illinois, to the Quad City area specifically (Davenport and Bettendorf Iowa / Moline and Rock Island Illinois). Growing up, I spent most of my time in Davenport, Iowa. I originally started college after High School majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. I  met my husband in 1983, and we married in 1985. We moved to Arizona in 1991 to be closer to my Mom and Stepdad.  We are blessed with two beautiful children, and a grandson

I was fortunate to do a lot of traveling as a child, and have been able to see almost all of the 50 states, minus Alaska, the New England States, and Hawaii, (other than the airport).  I have also traveled to Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

I love to learn and decided to go back to school, changing my focus to Early Childhood Education, spending most of the time in Special Education Preschool. After learning more about Maria Montessori and her methods, I switched gears from Public to Montessori Education. I was fortunate to spend the last several years as a Montessori Special Education Teacher, having the privilege to  work with a variety of ages from Preschool to 6th Grade.

I have always had a love for children and animals and have had my share of animals over the years including dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs,hamsters, rabbits, ducks, and an Indian Ringneck Parrot. We have downsized a bit over the years and we currently have two Mini Australian Shepherds, Ellie and Finley.

Drinks- Water or occasionally Zevia Creamy Root Beer

Essential Oils -  Lavender

Favorite Scents - Lavender, or Cherry Blossom

Hobbies- I Love Crafts!  Sewing, oil and tole painting, scrapbooking, crochet, and card making.

I also love watching sports, and being out in nature.
