My Bio

Hello Everyone! My name is Nathan Hemingway and I am a (mostly) high school History teacher here at San Tan Charter School. I have been teaching for 13 years which has been split between middle and high school as well as Florida and Arizona.

I am an American traveler. I have been all over the country. Connecticut, South Carolina, Florida, and Arizona have all been my home at some point in my life. Beyond that, I have been to 37 states, but have not left the country (yet). I have also now lived in two of the major metropolitan areas in America with Phoenix joining my 5 years in Miami, Florida. As a history teacher and hiker, I love to go to national parks and historical sites.

My wife Kayli and I currently have 2 young children. Henry (aged almost 4) has way too much energy and keeps us on our toes. Mason (2 year old) is more chill but is also a baby who wants his parents attention all of the time.

Between Grad School and a young family, our family does not have as much time as we would like to do much out of the home. When we do, we love to go to the movies, hiking when it is not 1000 degrees, and traveling to see family and one day for adventure and fun.
