Program Overview

The San Tan Charter Varsity Cheer Team (Grades 9–12) brings energy, spirit, and pride to every game and event. Athletes perform at football and basketball games, lead school pep rallies, and compete in statewide cheer competitions.

Building on the foundation developed in Junior High, Varsity Cheer focuses on advanced stunts, tumbling, and choreography—while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

Season Details:

  • Level: High School Varsity (Grades 9–12)

  • Seasons: Fall & Winter

  • Registration Opens: Mid-July

  • Practices Begin: Late July / Early August

  • Practice Location: Power Campus

  • Paperwork Deadline: All forms must be completed before the first practice

San Tan Charter School’s Varsity Cheer Team has built a proud tradition of spirit, skill, and success—both on the sidelines and in competition.

  • 2017: Crowned High School Cheer State Champions, setting the standard for future San Tan squads.
  • Ongoing: Continues to perform at Varsity Football and Basketball games, lead pep rallies, and compete in statewide cheer competitions.
  • Legacy of Leadership: Varsity Cheerleaders serve as ambassadors of school pride—mentoring younger athletes, volunteering at community events, and embodying the Roadrunner spirit.

San Tan Cheer continues to grow as one of the most spirited and respected programs in the state—where dedication, teamwork, and leadership shine as brightly as the performances.
