Tauscher Times 3.3.26

Dear Roadrunner,

It’s hard to put into words what this past weekend meant for our school community.

As the final buzzer sounded downtown and our boys basketball team claimed the Copper State Championship, it was more than a trophy moment. It was a living example of what we believe at San Tan. We often talk about being the best small school in the East Valley. Not the biggest. Not the flashiest. The best.

Best in culture.
Best in relationships.
Best in effort.
Best in belief.

The boys outplayed a four-time defending 3A/Copper state championship program with a storied history. The lesson they taught those watching is a powerful reminder that excellence is not about school size, resources or clout. It is about standards.

But here’s what I believe makes this even more special: this victory reflects more than just athletics. It reflects our connections to each other as Roadrunners in our classrooms and hallways, electives programs, our staff and our daily work. The championship is for all of us.

Congratulations to our players, coaches, families, and support staff who poured their hearts into this season. You will forever be champions. You have given our school community something to celebrate and something to aspire to in all of our work.

The standard just rose again.

Let’s keep climbing.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Spring Conferences

Conferences are organized in 90-minute blocks with the average conference time lasting 10 minutes. Please select the time block that is most convenient for your family and select the teachers you would like to conference with before selecting “submit”.

Families will meet in the student union during their scheduled time block and wait for their teacher(s) to come and meet them for their appointment. This format allows families to move through all conferences with the least amount of wait time.

When:   March 5 & 6

School Dress Code

Please partner with us to keep our standard

At San Tan, our dress code is about more than clothing. It’s about our standards.

As we continue striving to be the Best Small School in the East Valley, we ask for your partnership in helping students come to school dressed in a way that reflects our culture to respect the learning environment.

Recently, and as we head into warmer months, the most common concerns:

  • Shirts with alcohol-related or political references (primarily for our boys)

  • Midriff-baring tops, thin straps, or overly revealing bottoms (primarily for girls)

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home so we can keep our focus on learning, leadership, and building a culture of excellence.

Thank you for partnering with us.
