Tauscher Times 3.10.26

Dear Roadrunner,

As we are into Spring Break, we hope all of our Roadrunner families are enjoying a well-deserved time to rest, recharge, and spend time together. When students return, we will quickly shift our focus to an important moment for our school year: state testing season.

At San Tan Charter, we view this as more than just another test; it’s our opportunity to demonstrate the learning, growth, and effort that has taken place all year long and continue proving that we are the best small school in the East Valley.

Families play an important role in helping students approach testing with confidence. Over break, we encourage you to talk with your child about giving their best effort, taking their time, and showing what they truly know.

A few small strategies can make a big difference on testing days! Encourage students to get a good night’s sleepeat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time so they can begin the day calm and focused. Most importantly, fill them with confidence and reassure them their goal is simply to show what they learned. When our students approach the test with confidence and effort, it reflects the strong culture of learning we have built together.

State Testing Schedule

  • March 25 & 26th: AzSci for 8th/11th Grade
  • March 31st: 7th Grade AASA Writing and 8th Grade AASA Math/Reading
  • April 1st: 8th Grade AASA Writing and 7th Grade AASA Math/Reading

School Dress Code

Please partner with us to keep our standard

At San Tan, our dress code is about more than clothing. It’s about our standards.

As we continue striving to be the Best Small School in the East Valley, we ask for your partnership in helping students come to school dressed in a way that reflects our culture to respect the learning environment.

Recently, and as we head into warmer months, the most common concerns:

  • Shirts with alcohol-related or political references (primarily for our boys)

  • Midriff-baring tops, thin straps, or overly revealing bottoms (primarily for girls)

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home so we can keep our focus on learning, leadership, and building a culture of excellence.

Thank you for partnering with us.
