Dear Roadrunner, Today our community joins millions around the world in recognizing Mardi Gras, a time of celebration, gratitude, and joyful gathering before the beginning of the Lenten season. While Mardi Gras is often known for its festive traditions, it reminds us to appreciate the blessings and the importance of community, generosity, and joy. Here at San Tan, we strive to live these values daily by celebrating our successes, supporting one another, and preparing our hearts and minds for continued growth. Today we are grateful to also help celebrate Head Boys Basketball Coach Kyli Crooms’s birthday, and to also congratulate head coach Michael Cartagena and the amazing accomplishment of our boys soccer team this past weekend, who played it to the end against the #2-ranked team in the state before falling 4-3 in the quarterfinals. This week on campus, you’ll see our Roadrunners continuing to demonstrate perseverance in sports, academics, leadership, and care for one another. The varsity boys basketball plays in the state semi-finals of the Open 1A-3A Copper Tournament at 5pm versus Phoenix Country Day, and the annual Montessori Gala is happening this Saturday with its Western-themed Grand Ole Opry. Thank you for being part of a school community. |
