We joined the San Tan family in 2013 with 1 kiddo in mainstream Kindergarten and 1 in Montessori Preschool. It was so great having both kids at the same school, whereas in most other situation, we would have been driving to two different schools. • San Tan’s Montessori program serves students from preschool through 6th grade in a calm, student-centered environment. It emphasizes independence, hands-on learning, and multi-age classrooms. Students work at their own pace using Montessori materials, with teachers acting as guides. The focus is on developing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
• The Gifted program at San Tan is designed for gifted students who qualify through academic or cognitive assessments. It offers accelerated instruction, project-based learning, and enrichment opportunities. Students are grouped with peers of similar abilities and challenged through critical thinking and deep exploration of content.
• San Tan’s Mainstream program serves students in kindergarten through 6 grade with a structured, standards-based curriculum. Teachers provide whole-group and small-group instruction with built-in supports and enrichment, and differentiation. The program focuses on strong academic foundations while encouraging social growth, daily PE, and well-rounded development.
At San Tan Charter, choosing the right program depends on your child’s unique learning style and needs. Our Montessori program is best for students who thrive in calm, hands-on environments where they can work independently and at their own pace, with guidance from a teacher who supports their curiosity and social-emotional growth.
The Gifted program is designed for gifted learners who crave challenge, think critically, and benefit from accelerated instruction alongside peers with similar academic drive.
Meanwhile, our Mainstream program offers a structured, standards-based curriculum with whole-group instruction, small-group support, and a balanced focus on academic and social development—ideal for students who do well with routine and a consistent pace. Each pathway is designed to support students in becoming confident, capable learners in the environment that suits them best.
Absolutely! We encourage transitions to happen at the end of an academic year. If needed during the school year, you would work directly with the site administration team.
Besides full-day Kindergarten, all of our programs are tuition-free. An extension fee is collected for each program annually which helps support a robust electives department. For Full-Day Kindergarten, our tuition is $300/month. Half-Day Kindergarten is free.
