Opening July 2026 • A tuition-free charter elementary school built on San Tan’s tradition of nurturing, individualized, and rigorous education for every child.

We’re excited to share that San Tan Charter School is planning to open a brand-new campus in the near future! This expansion is part of our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for families in the East Valley. The new campus will be located on the southeast corner of Germann Road and Signal Butte Road.

San Tan Charter School is excited to open its new Signal Butte Campus in July 2026, serving Preschool to 8th Grade students near Queen Creek at the intersection of Signal Butte and Germann Roads.

As a tuition-free charter school, this campus continues our tradition of providing a safe, supportive, and rigorous education where every child is nurtured as an individual and encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Montessori Preschool

Our Montessori Preschool at the Signal Butte Campus is rooted in the vision of Dr. Maria Montessori, blending independence, creativity, and respect. Programs include Love and Logic®’s nine essential skills, a Montessori peace table for conflict resolution, and the Music Together™ program to encourage movement and self-expression.

Teachers carefully guide children through independent, small-group, and large-group learning, helping them grow from simple to complex skills in a calm, nurturing environment.

Elementary (K-8)

The Signal Butte Campus will also serve Kindergarten through 6th Grade, giving families a strong foundation for their child’s academic journey. With small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and three distinct learning pathways, every student is supported in the way that fits them best.

When will the San Tan Signal Butte Campus open?

Visits, Tours, and Observations

School Visitations

  • The School welcomes adult visitors. Parents and guardians who wish to schedule classroom observations should make an appointment at least twenty-four hours in advance.
  • All visitors to the school campus are required to first sign in at the office and receive a visitor badge.
  • No one should be in the school or on the campus unless they have signed in at the office. This is part of the School’s Safety Program.
  • We ask that visitors refrain from bringing younger children with them to the school. Volunteers in the classroom or school are not permitted to have children accompany them. This policy ensures safety, minimizes classroom interruptions, and promotes full concentration for both students and volunteers.
  • Visits from adults may be limited if they interrupt the educational process.

Group Tours:

  • K–12 Group Tours – Every Thursday at 9:30 AM

  • Preschool Group Tours – Monday, Tuesday, Friday between 9:30–11:00 AM

  • Available by request in the early morning, during the school day, or late afternoon.
