Serving Preschool through 12th grade in Gilbert, San Tan Charter School’s Recker Campus offers three pathways—Montessori, Gifted, and Mainstream. As a tuition-free charter school, we provide a close-knit, supportive community where every child is known and valued. How do I enroll my child?

San Tan Charter School in Gilbert follows an open enrollment process for all students. As a tuition-free charter school, families can apply online at any time during the enrollment window. Our Gifted Program requires gifted test results, and families interested in Montessori are encouraged to schedule a shadow day so students can experience the classroom environment.

Can I tour a campus before enrolling my child?

Yes! Families are encouraged to tour San Tan Charter School before enrolling. We host weekly campus tours at our Gilbert locations, giving parents and students the chance to meet teachers, see classrooms, and experience our supportive community firsthand.

How is student progress communicated to parents?

Student progress at San Tan Charter School is reviewed quarterly and shared during parent-teacher conferences held four times a year. Families also receive weekly email updates from teachers, with additional communication provided as needed. Parents can schedule a meeting with a teacher anytime by contacting the front office.

What extracurricular activities or clubs are available at Recker Campus?

Recker Campus offers a variety of teacher-led clubs based on student interest, which change from year to year. Students can also participate in sports starting in 5th grade, such as volleyball, basketball, cross country, track, baseball, and soccer.

Is San Tan Charter School tuition-free?

Yes. San Tan Charter School in Gilbert offers tuition-free programs for K-12. Besides Full-Day Kindergarten, all of our pathways—Montessori, Gifted, and Mainstream—are tuition-free.

Visits, Tours, and Observations

School Visitations:

● The School welcomes adult visitors. Parents/guardians who wish to schedule classroom observations should make an appointment at least twenty-four hours in advance.
● All visitors to the school campus are required to first sign in at the office as a visitor and receive a visitor’s badge.
● No one should be in the school or on the campus unless they have signed in at the office. This is part of the School’s Safety Program.
● We ask that visitors refrain from bringing younger children with them to the school. Volunteers in the classroom or in the school are not allowed to have children accompany them. This policy ensures safety, minimizes classroom interruption and promotes full concentration of both students and volunteers/visitors on the learning activity.
● Visits from adults will be limited if they interrupt the educational process.
