Jutem Pearce

Electives Teacher

Ms. Jutem Pearce is an Electives Teacher at San Tan Charter School, teaching Jr. High and High School Dance, Partner Dance, Drama, Yoga, Student Council, and Jr. High Family and Consumer Sciences. Previous years she has instructed personal development and leadership, as well as integrative health and nutrition.  She is also an instructor on the Power Campus and brings more than 35 years of experience in education, performing arts, entrepreneurship, and wellness coaching into her classroom. Her youngest son is still a student of San Tan, whereas her youngest daughter graduated from San Tan in 2025.

Originally from California and Arizona, with a brief time spent living in Germany, Jutem proudly considers Arizona home. She graduated from Arizona State University with a major in Communication and minors in Business and Spanish. In January 2026, she also graduated from Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a certified Integrative Health Coach.

Jutem has spent more than four decades studying and performing dance across multiple genres. During her career, she competed professionally in ballroom dance, traveling internationally after being scouted for a professional partnership, eventually ranking among the top 12 in the world. She holds certifications in Terpsichore and NDCA dance syllabi and has experience performing on stage and off-Broadway. Throughout her career, she has earned recognition in dance, drama, public speaking, and sales.

In addition to teaching, Jutem is an entrepreneur who has owned and operated several successful businesses, including a healthy cooking and wellness company and her own dance studio. She continues to coach students and adults in dance, integrative health, nutrition, performance, and public speaking.

Jutem joined San Tan after first serving as a long-term guest teacher. From the moment her family toured the campus, she felt drawn to the school’s strong sense of community, support, and family atmosphere. Now in her fifth year at San Tan, she is passionate about helping students grow in confidence, creativity, leadership, and personal wellness by encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones and discover their potential.

Outside of school, Jutem enjoys social dancing, hiking, yoga, traveling, crafts, games, and learning about other cultures through immersive experiences. Most of all, she values spending time with her family and inspiring others to live healthy, balanced, and purposeful lives.
