Nicole Patterson

5th Grade Math / Science Teacher

My Bio

Hello, my name is Nicole Patterson. I am so excited to begin 2nd year at San Tan as a 5th grade math and science teacher. I have taught many subjects and age groups over the years and have found joy in each of my positions. However, science is my favorite. I taught for 6 years in the Balsz School District in Phoenix followed by 5 years in Higley.

I was born in a western suburb of Chicago. I moved to Arizona in 2001 to attend the college of education at ASU, Fork ‘em Devils! After completing my Bachelors degree, I launched into a Masters program at NAU. It was during college that I met my husband who is a native Phoenician. We made the decision to settle down and start our family here in the valley. I have a daughter and a son who are also a part of the San Tan family.

Traveling to see my family in WI and IL is one thing I enjoy most in my free time. I spend a lot of time trying to keep up with my 5 and 7 year old- riding bikes, swimming, reading, crafting, building Lego structures, engaging in light saber battles and watching movies. My favorite time of day is morning where I can enjoy the quiet while drinking my cup of coffee, reflecting on all the blessings in my life before another wild day begins.

I am excited to begin our year, Roadrunners! You will learn from me and I will learn from you. We will set goals, we will get dirty, we will get things wrong, we will respect one another. I promise to value you and your contributions to our classroom. Lets get this party started!
