My Bio

My name is Kristina Cottrell, and I’m entering my second year working at San Tan Charter School. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived in Arizona for 13 years before moving with my family to Elko, Nevada where my father accepted a teaching job as a professor at Great Basin College.  My parents currently live in Nevada, and my father is still employed with Great Basin College.  I moved back to Arizona when I married in 1999, and I have two children (age 17 and 13) who attend San Tan Charter School. 

My daughter Emilie is a senior, and my son Nathaniel is in 8th grade.  We are very proud to say that we are one of the founding families at San Tan Charter School. 

My family and I enjoy going to see movies, traveling, bowling, and spending time together.  We also have fun playing cards and board games - our favorite games are Phase 10, Sorry!, Yahtzee, and Aggravation.  My interests include writing music, playing the piano, computers, internet commerce, and child development.
