My Bio

I couldn’t be more excited to start my ninth year with San Tan Charter School! My father’s career in the Air Force gave us the chance to live in so many different parts of the world. I was born in Athens, Greece and lived there for almost four years. From there I lived in Maryland, California, and New Jersey. Once I got married, I lived in Kansas and Pennsylvania before moving to Arizona.

In 2004, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education is from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. A few years later, I went back and earned my Master’s degree in Reading in 2007.

This school year will be the start of my twelfth year in education and my ninth year here at STCS. I’ve taught grades 6th, 5th, 4th, half day kindergarten, and have been a reading specialist.

In my spare time, I teach graduate reading courses for Grand Canyon University. I love sharing all of my excitement about educating children with practicing and future teachers. I also spend time with my 10-year-old Alaina, my 20-year-old stepson Tyler, and my husband Brian of thirteen years. We live in East Mesa and couldn’t think of a better place to send Alaina to school than right here at STCS.
